The contamination control of hydraulic oils and lubricants is an essential part of any preventive maintenance program. Portable equipment provides a snapshot of what is happening inside your equipment and the membrane test can provide a variety of information quickly and easily. The level of dirt, the types of particles and the efficiency of the dispersing additive allows specific decisions to be made to reduce costs and preserve the life of the machine and oil.
The Patch Test Kit was developed with everything needed to provide indications of contamination and dispersion efficiency of hydraulic oils and lubricants. This test will provide contamination results that can be compared to the reference membranes in the Fluid Cleaning Comparison Guide to determine an ISO cleaning code. The kit also comes with a super-magnet to check for the presence of ferrous particles. The kit is housed in a carrying case, made of IP 67 polypropylene.
